Principal

Jeff Kelley began his career as a business and technology reporter for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, covering startups and enterprises and interviewing everyone from Fortune 500 CEOs and bootstrapping entrepreneurs. With both agency and in-house PR experience, he formed Kelley & Co. in early 2015 to offer companies a nimble partner to deliver high-quality content and media needs on-time and at-budget. Managing Director

Dan Carrigan brings global communications experience to our clients. He has worked for international public relations agencies, led teams through major milestone announcements, prepped executives for national news, and served as a crisis and government relations counselor. His specialty areas include healthcare, higher education and biopharma. Dan began his career as a broadcast news reporter and multimedia journalist, working in New Jersey and his home state of Pennsylvania. His background also includes a stint in state government. He holds a master’s degree in mass communications from VCU’s Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture. His email is dan@kelleyus.com.

Multimedia Producer

Christopher Kendall drives the creation of visual and digital strategies. A two-time Telly award winner, he has a passion for translating complex concepts into engaging narratives. He draws upon a diverse background in photography and multimedia production, including experience in professional studios and ongoing freelance projects. His FAA Part 107 license also allows him to take client ideas to new altitudes. He has a distinct understanding of government relations on local, state, and national levels, honed through his polisci degree from Randolph-Macon College. In his free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants and recipes with his wife, Kat, and covering Richmond sporting events from the sidelines. His email is christopher@kelleyus.com.

Strategist + Copywriter

A reformed daily journalist who still lives for breaking news, Kyra Scarton Newman now focuses on bring client stories to life across different channels, with deep experience in thought leadership in financial services and higher education. She complements writing with media relations, generating coverage in targeted outlets from The New York Times to CNN.com. When she steps away from the computer, you can find her spending time with her husband and newly adult kids, trying out different recipes in the kitchen, and failing to outsmart her lagotto romagnolo (that’s an Italian truffle dog).
